What's the difference between a city head and slim blade horseshoeing nail?

a city head is a wider nail head- it sticks out a little above the shoe level, depending on the type of shoe you use. It has a ';wedge'; shape to it. They work great for a little extra traction. They are probably the most common nail used.

slim blade nails have a thinner nail blade- good for horses who have a thin hoof wall or smaller horses or ponies. The head is usually slimmer and rests a little more flush with the shoe than a city head.
